As part of our commitment to treating all of Monterey, we feature multilingual staff. At our Monterey location, patients can work with ophthalmologists Dr. Shi, who is fluent in Mandarin, and Dr. Nakajima, who is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Leland H. Rosenblum
Cataract, glaucoma, and oculoplastics surgeon Dr. Rosenblum has been with us since 1998. He graduated magna cum laude from Brown University and later received specialized ophthalmology training at California Pacific Medical Center.
The Carmel Pine Cone named Dr. Rosenblum Monterey Peninsula's best ophthalmologist from 2012 through 2020.
Dr. Anna J. Shi
Dr. Shi is a native of Northern California who received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of California, Davis.
She is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a subspecialty in glaucoma and anterior segment surgery. She holds memberships in the American Glaucoma Society and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Roger C. Husted
After serving as a colonel in the U.S. Army, Dr. Husted spent nearly two decades as Chief of Ophthalmology at Silas B. Hays Army Community Hospital in Fort Ord before beginning private practice.
On top of his prestigious internships and residencies, Dr. Husted completed a fellowship in retinal diseases at California Pacific Medical Center, where he has instructed since 1979.
Dr. Kasey Nakajima
Dr. Nakajima was born and raised in Monterey to a family of optometrists.
Since graduating from Pacific University and becoming an optometrist herself, she has earned several distinctions. For example, she is the president-elect for the Monterey Bay Optometric Society. Dr. Nakajima provides both binocular vision and contact lens services.
