Brittney A. Dautremont, DO, MPH CATARACT, GLAUCOMA AND OCULOPLASTICS SURGEON
Dr. Brittney Dautremont is a board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in refractive cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, eyelid surgery, glaucoma, diabetes, eye trauma, and dry eye management. She joined Monterey County Eye Associates in 2017. Dr. Dautremont prides herself in treating every patient as a member of her own family. She speaks both English and Spanish to help serve the needs of our diverse community.
Dr. Dautremont graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with Honors in Biology and a minor in Music. She received her medical degree (DO) and a Master in Public Health (MPH) from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California. During her last year of medical school, she traveled to Ethiopia where she performed her first eye surgery.
Dr. Dautremont completed ophthalmology training as Chief Resident at the Ohio University Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. During this time, she went on a medical mission trip to Belize to provide free sight-restoring eye care, including cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, and diabetic laser treatments in a rural community. Throughout her training, she has had the opportunity to work with other accomplished ophthalmologists, publish articles in peer-reviewed journals, participate in clinical research trials, and give presentations at local and national conferences. Dr. Dautremont maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology (AOCOO), and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
